Weapons such as the RPG and equipment like Claymore's are banned, due to not making for a balanced competitive game. Many weapons find themselves on a 'restricted' list, meaning that whilst they're in the casual game, they're banned in League Play. Much unlike Modern Warfare's timid efforts, Black Ops Cold War's League Play attempts to follow the exact same ruleset that is seen on the main stage of the esport, with Treyarch often updating the playlist to follow changes made in the league. Players can load into the playlist and rise through the ranks, emulating the same maps and weapon choices that the pros use, and even run into some of the CDL's prime talent.
